Games

I spend a reasonable amount of time gaming, in its various forms. I play video games with friends at least once a week, I board game during lunch at work at least once a week, and I role-play with some guys from work about once a week too. I've even created a card game that had a reasonable amount of popularity among my group of friends in high-school.

Table games are broken down into several categories, but one of the simplest is the difference between classic games and designer games

Games I would probably buy (if money were no object)

  • Cartagena - A good balance of luck and strategy that involves trying to get your pirates out of Cartagena prison and onto the awaiting escape boat before it leaves.
  • Saboteur - A semi-cooperative game where some people are working together to find the gold and some people are working against them.
  • Space Dealer - I've never played it, but 'real time' and 'space-themed' always appeal to me (see Light Speed)
